A very disappointing package June 5, 2000 5 out of 16 found this review helpful
I have to agree with "a viewer from England".The DVD was obviously rushed for financial gain following the amazing season that Man Utd had during the 1998/1999. The audio makes no attempt at utilising the DVD capablity of 6 channels :-( The graphics that were designed around the main menu are very sub-standard especially when you compare it to every other DVD available. The one star awarded has to be in recognition of the achievements made by the team not by the producers of this disc. I hope that next time they do us loyal reds proud.
Well presented interactive review of the best season ever... March 23, 2000 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just received the disk yesterday and I had to counter the negative view of 'A viewer from England'. You can watch the season from start to end as with the video version, but the best feature of this disk is the interviews with Sir Alex. Choose any major moment of the season and watch Fergie's analysis, with the action shown in a box beside him! It would be better if there was an index of the interview, rather than having to click 'next' to find the one you want, but still an excellent feature.A true fans choice!
Great content (obviously), but appalling presentation! March 7, 2000 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I fully expected to get a wonderful account of last year's heroics in all their glory. This DVD did not do justice to the team or us fans! The presentation is appalling, bad graphics, poor sound recording and terrible editing! The manufacturers should have put more effort into the product instead of rush releasing it to milk the easy money! I certainly won't be buying anything produced by this bunch again!
