Product Description PES 2008 features a brand new intelligence system, called Teamvision, that adapts and reacts to players own gameplay styles to ensure that the computer controlled opponents are always challenging and forcing the player to think and chance their style of play to avoid being out-thought by the game. It will learn counter attacks that target your weaknesses and look to exploit any repetitive tactics players use. Defenders react better to danger, closing down the ball and charging at shots and the goalkeepers will hold shots that are closer to them as well. Teammates will make more intelligent runs into space and the close control has been sharpened to ensure quick and fluid passing and speedy attacks can be built.

The dissapointing Pro 08 November 17, 2008 I used to love pro years ago and thought it was better than fifa by miles, i then bought fifa 06 and really got into the fifa games. Recently i bought Pro 08 just to see how it is a few years on an i got to say its very dissapointing!! At times pro can be the most infuriating game their is. For example.... once you play at normal level or higher you could have the fastest player on the game marked by the slowest, an the computers slowest will still beat you for pace!!! the referee sees fouls that are non- exsistant, all you have done is got the ball an he blows for a foul!! the players touch in the game is pathetic. still the same old master league players who are all so bad it makes playing the game on normal or higher very frustrating especially as by putting the differculty level to an easier one makes the game way to easy and pointless. The pundits are very annoying an say the same old thing 20 times a game. The team names, badges and kits are still rubbish. Also when starting the master league as for example liverpool your in division 2 (fair enough as you have to earn promotion to be in the top league) but you play french, spanish etc teams who can then be promoted with you, so then the following year when you have been promoted to the premier league someone like marsaille come up with you!!! when has marsaille ever been in the premiership??!! its lazy of konami! one thing in its favour tho is the fact the fifa 09 is even more of a let down as its exactly the same as 08 least Pro 08 added a few worthless teams like helsinki???!!!
both pro 08 and fifa 09 are a waste of money and a big let down.
not competing with EA sports October 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really dont think anyone is coming close to competing with EA sports right now. We all know fifa has been closing in recently and just how good tiger woods is. Something you may not know however is JUST HOW GOOD MADDEN 09 is. It will blow you away even if youre not a huge fan. you will be MADDEN NFL 09 (PS3)
pes 08 October 11, 2008 ok if your a great at footie games get it the difference between pes08 and fifa 08 is that with pes you can score more realistic goals wonder goals when its raining its good to shoot outside the box because the goalie thumbells when the ball is wet while fifa you score the same goals pes is a good buy
It's a good game August 29, 2008 I got this game with my spending money because I was fed up off playing with retired players on Pro evoloution soccer 3 (thats old). I was expecting it 2 be da same but u know what it has a huge difference such as it shows the referee u choose which ball you want to play with and what I wanted da most, it had all da knew players. DA thing which I like about the game is that the awsome players such as Christiano Ronaldo does tricks on his own when other players come to tackle him. BUt da thing is not all the players look da same as on real football, tores has short hair, Beckham looks toooooooootally different. Overall buy it!
Not much fun August 15, 2008 This game is not bad, just not a lot a fun to play. I'm sure it's a very faithful football sim, but only if you've learned eveything you know about football from Chelsea a couple of years ago and the old Arsenal.
I'd advise to stick to Pro-Evo 6 or if you have a Wii, go for Wii Pro-Evo '08. It re-introduces things like fun and a feeling of control to the series.
All in all, solid but dull.
