You're The Best Team(s) I've Ever Seen... November 15, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a fascinating book which details the parallels between the most supported (Man U) and the best supported (Celtic) football clubs in the world. Fans of both clubs will enjoy the well researched info and reading about the remarkable similarities between the two clubs through all eras from late 19th Century to the present day.
The poignant pages about Munich and the deaths of John Thompson and Johnny Doyle brings a lump to your throat but the highs of Lisbon and Wembley ensure that there are also tears of joy. The link between clubs, history, managers, players and geniuses (Johnstone & Best) down the years are remarkable and there are various theories on why there is such a bond between the clubs. Read also about how Manchester United can lay claim to "You'll Never Walk Alone" and several other nuggets uncovered by the author.
A well written and easy-to-read addition to the vast array of publications about these two great clubs.
